Privacy Policy
Introduction
Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Work Horse macOS application (“Work Horse” or the “App”).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling information associated with your use of Work Horse in a responsible, transparent, and lawful manner.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Work Horse, how it may be used, where it is stored, what permissions the App requires, what information may be collected by third-party advertising services, and what choices you have.
Work Horse is designed so that its core automation functionality operates locally on your Mac. Work Horse does not require you to create an account and does not transmit your mouse automation, keyboard automation, automated text, or automation settings to Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd servers.
However, Work Horse is supported by advertising provided through Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect certain technical, device, advertising, and interaction information when advertisements are requested or displayed.
By downloading or using Work Horse, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
Work Horse is developed and published by:
Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd
Republic of South Africa
Email: raeesahrufino@gmail.com
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how information is handled by Work Horse, you may contact us using the details above.
2. Information We Process
Work Horse is designed to perform user-configured automation tasks directly on your Mac.
The App does not require you to create an account, register, log in, or provide personal information in order to use its core functionality.
We do not directly collect your name, email address, phone number, physical address, financial information, passwords, or other personally identifying information through the core functionality of Work Horse.
There are two main categories of information relevant to your use of Work Horse:
-
Information stored and processed locally by Work Horse on your Mac; and
-
Technical and advertising information that may be collected by Google AdMob.
2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Mac
Depending on the features you use, Work Horse may store information locally on your Mac, including:
-
App preferences;
-
Automation settings;
-
Selected automation modes;
-
Mouse movement settings;
-
Keyboard automation settings;
-
Automation intervals;
-
Timing preferences;
-
Session preferences;
-
User-configured automation text or keyboard sequences;
-
Permission status;
-
Advertising or consent preferences where applicable; and
-
Other settings necessary for Work Horse to operate.
This information is stored locally on your Mac.
Your Work Horse automation information is not uploaded to Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd servers, transmitted to us, sold by us, or used by us to identify you.
2.2 Mouse and Keyboard Automation
Work Horse is designed to generate user-configured mouse and keyboard activity.
Depending on the functionality selected by you, this may include:
-
Moving the mouse pointer;
-
Generating mouse activity;
-
Generating keyboard input;
-
Entering user-configured text;
-
Performing keyboard actions at selected intervals; and
-
Performing other automation actions configured by you.
These automation actions are generated locally on your Mac.
Work Horse does not transmit the contents of your automated keyboard input or mouse automation activity to Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd.
Any processing required for Work Horse to generate these actions occurs locally on your device.
2.3 Accessibility Permission
Certain Work Horse features require macOS Accessibility permission.
Accessibility permission allows Work Horse to perform user-authorised automation actions, including generating mouse and keyboard activity outside of the Work Horse application itself.
macOS controls this permission.
You may grant, deny, or revoke Accessibility access through your Mac's Privacy & Security settings.
Work Horse uses Accessibility access to provide the automation functionality requested by you.
Granting Accessibility permission does not cause Work Horse to send your keyboard activity, mouse activity, documents, communications, passwords, or automation content to Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd.
We do not use Accessibility permission to create behavioural profiles about you or remotely monitor your computer activity.
2.4 Automated Text and Content
Work Horse may allow you to configure text, characters, keyboard sequences, commands, or other input that the App will enter automatically.
Any such content is configured by you and processed locally by Work Horse.
Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd does not receive, review, analyse, or store that content on its servers.
However, if you instruct Work Horse to enter content into another application, website, messaging service, or third-party service, that content may be received and processed by that third party.
For example, if Work Horse enters text into a communication or productivity application, the provider of that application may process the entered content under its own terms and privacy policy.
Work Horse does not control how third-party applications process information entered into them.
2.5 Information Collected Automatically by Google AdMob
Work Horse uses Google AdMob, an advertising service operated by Google LLC, to display advertisements.
When advertisements are requested or displayed, Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads technology used to provide advertising may collect or process certain information.
Depending on the configuration of the advertising service, device, operating system, location, user choices, and available advertising features, this information may include:

-
Measuring advertising performance;

Advertising analytics;
-
Limiting repeated advertisements;
-
Preventing invalid traffic, fraud, or abuse;
-
Maintaining and improving advertising services; and
-
Complying with applicable legal requirements.
Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd does not independently store this advertising information on its own servers merely because it is collected by Google AdMob.
We may receive aggregated or non-identifying reporting relating to advertising performance, such as ad impressions, estimated revenue, and advertisement engagement.
Google's processing of information is governed by Google's own privacy policies and terms.

The fact that Work Horse does not directly collect these categories does not mean that third-party advertising providers such as Google AdMob collect no information.
Advertising-related data is described separately in this Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Information
Work Horse's locally stored automation information is used only to enable the App to function and remember your preferences.
This may include using locally stored information to:

4. Advertising and Google AdMob
4.1 How Advertising Works in Work Horse
Work Horse is supported by in-app advertising.
Advertisements are provided using Google AdMob, an advertising platform operated by Google LLC.
Depending on the version and configuration of Work Horse, advertisements may include formats such as banner, interstitial, native, or other supported advertisements.
Advertisements may be personalised or non-personalised depending on factors including your location, applicable law, advertising settings, consent choices, device configuration, and Google's advertising systems.
4.2 Google AdMob
Google AdMob may collect and process technical, device, advertising, performance, diagnostic, and interaction information in order to provide and measure advertisements.
Google's collection and use of this information is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy and applicable Google advertising policies.
Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd does not control all processing independently performed by Google.
We may receive aggregated advertising reports from Google, including information such as advertisement impressions, clicks, fill rate, and advertising revenue.
4.3 Personalised and Non-Personalised Advertising
Where permitted and appropriately configured, Google AdMob may provide personalised advertising based on information associated with a user's device or advertising profile.
In other circumstances, Work Horse may display non-personalised or limited advertisements.
The advertisements available to a particular user may depend on:
-
Geographic location;
-
Consent choices;
-
Device settings;
-
Advertising identifiers;
-
Applicable privacy law;
-
Google advertising policies; and
-
Advertising inventory.
Refusing or withdrawing consent to certain advertising processing does not necessarily mean that you will stop seeing advertisements.
Where supported, you may instead receive advertisements that use less information for personalisation.
4.4 Advertising Consent and Privacy Choices
Where required by applicable law or advertising-platform requirements, Work Horse may display a privacy or consent message allowing you to make choices regarding the processing of information for advertising purposes.
The choices available may depend on your location.
Users in certain jurisdictions may be offered options relating to:
-
Personalised advertising;
-
Advertising storage;
-
Advertising measurement;
-
Use of personal information by advertising vendors;
-
Consent to particular advertising purposes; or
-
Other privacy choices required by applicable law.
Where a privacy-settings feature is made available in Work Horse, you may use it to review or update applicable advertising choices.
Some choices may also be managed through your operating-system, Apple, or Google privacy settings.
5. Third-Party Applications and Services
Work Horse may interact with applications or services installed on or accessed through your Mac when you configure Work Horse to generate mouse or keyboard activity.
These may include communication, productivity, browser, collaboration, entertainment, development, or other applications.
Third-party applications operate independently from Work Horse.
Their collection and processing of information is governed by their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, and technical systems.
Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party applications or services.
Work Horse's ability to interact with another application does not mean that Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd is affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with that application's provider.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your Work Horse automation information.
Information may be processed by Google AdMob as necessary to provide advertising within Work Horse.
Google and, where applicable, advertising technology providers involved in delivering an advertisement may process information according to their own roles, policies, legal obligations, and the advertising configuration applicable to the user.
Legal Obligations
Where Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd holds information independently, such as an email voluntarily sent to us for support, we may disclose that information where required by law, court order, regulatory requirement, or another lawful process.
We may also disclose such information where reasonably necessary to:
-
Comply with applicable law;
-
Protect our legal rights or property;
-
Investigate fraud, misuse, or unlawful conduct;
-
Protect users or members of the public; or
-
Respond to a lawful request from an authorised authority.
7. Data Retention
Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd does not maintain databases containing your Work Horse mouse automation, keyboard automation, or automated text.
Locally stored Work Horse information remains on your Mac until it is removed through the App, your system settings, or deletion of the App, depending on how the relevant information is stored.
You may generally remove locally stored Work Horse information by:
-
Resetting or changing App settings where available;
-
Removing locally stored App data;
-
Uninstalling Work Horse; or
-
Using applicable macOS storage-management options.
You may revoke Work Horse's Accessibility permission through your Mac's Privacy & Security settings.
Information independently collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own data-retention policies.
Because Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd does not possess your locally stored automation data, we cannot remotely retrieve or delete that data for you.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect Work Horse and minimise the risk of unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse of information processed in connection with the App.
Work Horse's local-first automation design reduces the amount of automation information transmitted away from your device.
However, no computer system, advertising service, network connection, or software application can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Mac, operating-system account, passwords, third-party applications, and any content you configure Work Horse to enter automatically.
We recommend that you do not configure Work Horse to automatically type passwords, payment information, authentication codes, confidential information, or other highly sensitive information.
Information processed by Google AdMob is subject to Google's security practices.
9. Children's Privacy
Work Horse is a general-purpose productivity and automation utility and is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through Work Horse's core functionality.
Advertising services may process technical information as described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.
If you believe that information relating to a child has been collected or processed in a manner that requires our attention, please contact:

-
Accessing personal information held about you;
-
Correcting inaccurate information;
-
Requesting deletion in certain circumstances;

Because Work Horse's automation information remains locally on your Mac and is not transmitted to us, Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd generally does not possess this automation data.
If you contact us directly, such as by email, we may hold the information contained in that communication for support, administrative, security, or legal purposes.

Where required, advertising-related consent choices may be presented before or in connection with advertising processing.
Where processing is based on consent, withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
11. Third-Party Advertisements and Links
Advertisements displayed through Google AdMob may contain links to third-party websites, applications, products, or services.
Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd does not control the content of third-party advertisements or the privacy practices of the advertisers or destinations linked through those advertisements.
If you select an advertisement and leave Work Horse, your interaction with the third-party destination will be governed by that third party's own terms and privacy practices.
We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information.

Your Work Horse automation data is processed locally and is not transmitted to Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd servers.
Google LLC and other advertising technology providers may process advertising-related information in countries outside South Africa or outside your country of residence.
Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between countries.
Google's handling of international data processing and transfers is governed by its own privacy and legal frameworks.
13. Apple and the Mac App Store
If you download Work Horse through the Apple Mac App Store, Apple may independently process information relating to your Apple account, App Store activity, downloads, transactions, device, or use of Apple services.
That information is handled by Apple according to Apple's own privacy practices.
Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd does not control information independently collected or processed by Apple.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
