Introduction

Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") operates the GoReflex mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling any information we come into contact with in a responsible, transparent, and lawful manner.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use GoReflex, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and what choices you have. By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

This Policy applies to GoReflex as distributed on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store and governs all versions of the App on iOS and Android devices.

2. Information We Collect

GoReflex is designed with privacy in mind. The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use its core features. We do not directly collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information.

The following categories of information may be stored locally on your device or collected by third-party services integrated into the App.

2.1 Information stored locally on your device

GoReflex may store certain gameplay and preference information locally on your device, including:

Gameplay history;
Scores;
Reaction times;
Accuracy results;
XP and rank progress;
Streaks;
Selected themes;
Sound and haptic settings; and
Other in-app preferences.

This information is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to us, uploaded to our servers, or used to identify you.

2.2 Information collected automatically by third-party services

When you use the App, certain technical information may be collected automatically by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service, including:

Device identifiers, such as advertising ID or IDFA/GAID;
Device type, model, and operating system version;
App version;
Ad views, clicks, and interactions;
General geographic location derived from IP address, such as country or region level only, not precise location; and
IP address.

This information is collected by Google AdMob for the purpose of serving advertisements, measuring ad performance, limiting repeated ads, and preventing fraud or abuse. We do not collect or store this information independently on our own servers.

2.3 Information you provide

GoReflex does not include any registration screens, account login, contact forms, or input fields that collect personal information from you directly.

Any preferences you set within the App, such as sound settings, haptics, themes, or gameplay history, are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to us.

2.4 Information we do not collect

We do not collect or process:

Your name, email address, or contact details;
Account login details;
Financial information or payment details;
Sensitive personal information such as health data, biometrics, or government-issued identifiers;
Precise geolocation data;
Cloud-based gameplay history;
Global leaderboard data; or
Any content you create or share outside of the App.

3. How We Use Information

Because we do not directly collect personal information, our own use of data is minimal.

Locally stored information is used only to:

Save your gameplay history on your device;
Display your previous scores and reaction times;
Track your XP, ranks, and streaks within the App;
Remember your selected theme and app settings; and
Improve your personal in-app gameplay experience.
Information collected via Google AdMob is used by Google AdMob for the following purposes:
To display advertisements within the App that support the free availability of GoReflex;
To measure advertisement performance and engagement;
To limit repeated ads;
To detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and
To serve personalised or non-personalised advertisements, depending on your device settings and consent choices.

We do not use any information to build personal profiles, make automated decisions about you, or market to you directly.

4. Advertising and Google AdMob

4.1 How advertising works in GoReflex

GoReflex is a free application supported by in-app advertising. Advertisements are served by Google AdMob, a platform operated by Google LLC.

Ads may be displayed periodically during your use of the App, including banner ads, interstitial ads, or rewarded ads where available.

4.2 Data collected by Google AdMob

Google AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising identifier and other technical data to serve personalised or non-personalised advertisements. Google's collection and use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, which you can review at: https://policies.google.com/privacy

We do not have access to, or control over, the data that Google AdMob collects independently. We may receive aggregated, non-identifiable reporting from Google regarding advertisement impressions and performance.

4.3 App Tracking Transparency for iOS users

If you are using GoReflex on an iOS device, the App may present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. This prompt asks for your permission before your device's advertising identifier, known as IDFA, is used to serve personalised advertisements.

If you select "Allow": your IDFA may be used by Google AdMob to serve personalised advertisements relevant to your interests.

If you select "Ask App Not to Track": your IDFA will not be used for personalised advertising. You will still see advertisements in the App, but they will not be based on your activity across other apps and websites.

You can change your ATT preference at any time by navigating to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iOS device.

4.4 Android advertising ID

On Android devices, Google AdMob may use your Google Advertising ID, known as GAID, to serve advertisements. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised advertising at any time by navigating to Settings > Google > Ads on your Android device.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

GoReflex itself does not use cookies. However, third-party services integrated into the App, including Google AdMob, may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, or similar tracking technologies on your device to collect and store information. These technologies help third parties recognise your device and deliver advertisements.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances.

6.1 Third-party service providers

We use Google AdMob as an advertising partner. As described in Section 4, AdMob may collect and process certain technical information from your device in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Beyond Google AdMob, we do not share any user information with third-party service providers.

6.2 Legal obligations

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

Comply with any applicable law or regulation;
Protect and defend our rights or property;
Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the App; or
Protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public.

6.3 Business transfers

In the event that Rufino Group (Pty) Ltd is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, any information held in connection with the App may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users of any such change in ownership or control by updating this Privacy Policy.

7. Data Retention

As GoReflex does not collect personal information directly, we do not maintain personal data on our own servers.

Your gameplay history, scores, XP, ranks, streaks, themes, and settings are stored locally on your device. This data may be deleted when you:

Use a reset history option within the App, if available;
Clear the App's data through your device settings; or
Uninstall the App from your device.

Data collected by Google AdMob is retained in accordance with Google's data retention policies. For information on how long Google retains data, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the integrity of the App and to minimise the risk of unauthorised access, disclosure, or misuse of any information processed in connection with GoReflex.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We are not responsible for the security practices of third-party services such as Google AdMob.

Because gameplay history and settings are stored locally on your device, you are responsible for keeping your device secure.

9. Children's Privacy

GoReflex is suitable for general audiences, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction.

The App does not contain any registration screens, login forms, or input fields that would allow a child to submit personal information directly to us. Any information collected by Google AdMob from users of all ages is subject to Google's policies regarding children's data, including compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, where applicable.

Parents and guardians who believe that their child has provided personal information to us, or who have concerns about the App's data practices in relation to children, are encouraged to contact us at raeesahrufino@gmail.com so that we may take appropriate action.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding the information collected about you. Under South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, you may have the right to:

Be informed about the collection and use of your personal information;
Access the personal information we hold about you;
Request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
Request the deletion or restriction of processing of your personal information in certain circumstances;
Object to the processing of your personal information; and
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

10.1 Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom

If you access GoReflex from within the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation or the UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Please contact us to exercise these rights.

For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the legal basis for processing personal data for advertising purposes may include legitimate interest for fraud prevention and ad measurement, and consent where you grant consent for personalised advertising through the relevant in-app or device-level prompt.

10.2 Opting out of personalised advertising

Regardless of your location, you may opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

On iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking — disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
On Android: Settings > Google > Ads — enable "Opt out of Ads Personalisation"

11. Third-Party Links and Services

Advertisements displayed within GoReflex may contain links to third-party websites or applications. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services you visit through links within the App.

12. International Data Transfers

Google AdMob is operated by Google LLC, which is headquartered in the United States. When AdMob collects data from your device, that data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries outside of South Africa. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in South Africa.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the App, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this Policy.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy. If you do not agree to the updated Policy, you should stop using the App and uninstall it from your device.
